Why are you guys so awesome?

This milestone is sort of special to me because I feel like I’ve gotten to know more of you guys in the last month or so. We’ve chatted about things like favourite Vonnegut novels and past lives and ways to kill wasps (more on that later). You’re all some of the sweetest, funniest, most genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of talking to. And I just really, really appreciate it.

This probably sounds really lame, but I mean every word of it. You guys are all just really cool, and I feel lucky to get to know you, even if it’s just a little bit. So if you ever want to chat, whether it’s about Kurt or life or whatever the hell you want, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me. Nothing is off limits :)

[And by the way, on the wasp: I think it’s a yellow jacket. Not that that makes it any better, but still. And I’m using the present tense because I never did find it when I went back into my room. My roommate helped me check the whole place, but we couldn’t find it so we’re figuring it flew back out the way it came in. Which is disconcerting, but at least I was able to get to sleep.]

Anyway, I’m done rambling. I love you all so much and you make me smile every day. Thanks for being the coolest followers in the history of Tumblr!

You guys are AMAZING. Seriously. I’m incredibly flattered and humbled by how much you guys like this blog, especially since I was nervous about including more personal things about my life. So I’m really really glad that I’ve gotten a positive response from you all.

As excited as my face is up there, the situation clearly calls for Smiling!Kurt.

The two of you who just showed up in the last few minutes surprised me so much with your sudden appearance that I actually said aloud to my empty living room, “Whoa! Where the f*** did you guys come from??”

I am a classy individual. And I love you guys :)

EDIT: 3! Where are you guys coming from?? My heart can’t handle this much Tumblr happiness!

(FYI: If you’re thinking, “Hey, I just followed her, I wonder if she means me,” the answer is yes. I do not accumulate followers this quickly on a regular basis. You three are making me super excited.)

Seriously? I love you guys. I just shouted out loud in my apartment because I’m so excited. In fact, I’m at the Smiling!Kurt level of excitement.

You all make me feel like that on a daily basis, and I can’t thank you enough. I try to make this blog something that I think all my followers will enjoy, and your Tumblr love is what helps me do that.

I might sound really coherent/eloquent right now but I’m not- I’m still grinning like an idiot. I’m super-duper excited and humbled by how fucking cool you guys are.

…Because I managed to make my theme Kurt Vonnegut! The whole background is assholes (I hope you all know what I mean by that; if not, I’m about to lose some confused followers) and I fully admit that I abused the “Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt” quote. I’m excited.

What I’m also really excited about is that I added three pages to my Tumblr, so that you guys can have easy access to certain things on the blog. There are now quick links to all of my Kurt Vonnegut quotes, photos, and Fashion Fridays posts! I’m also pretty consistent about tagging all my posts so that they can be found easily; if you’re ever looking for posts related to a specific book or topic, you can check my tags.

I post a photo of Kurt Vonnegut along with a quotation of his, and within a day it has 43 notes. What that tells me is that a lot of my followers feel like armless, legless men (and women) with crayons in their mouths. And I have to tell you sincerely, those are exactly the kind of followers I want. I love you guys.
