One of my favorite quotes of all time came can be attributed to Mark Vonnegut, the son of famous author Kurt Vonnegut. Kurt was asking his son what he thought the meaning of life was, and Mark responded eloquently and brilliantly,
“Father, we are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is.”
This is honestly how I try to live my life.
Whether or not you agree with Mark, I think we can all come to a consensus that it couldn’t hurt to be more compassionate and understanding from time to time.
