If this isn’t nice, I don’t know what is.
Seriously, though. This is the nicest I’ve felt in ages. I’m sitting outside in perfect weather—I mean perfect weather—and listening to Lana Del Rey. I’ve got a couple cover letters to write for my internship applications at the Corcoran Gallery and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, which won’t take too long and just reminds me that I might get to spend the summer surrounded by gorgeous art. And in spite of everything, my dad seems to be in a good mood.
If this isn’t nice… I don’t know what is.
Just finished my first three internship applications!
Those are for the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Kreeger Museum. If I get an internship at the Kreeger I might just die. I’m not sure my heart could take the excitement. Now I just have three more applications, but they’re not due until a couple of weeks from now.
Time to go reward myself by renting ‘The Graduate’ and ‘The Thin Man’!
Accomplish ALL the things!
In the ongoing saga “Lauren Decides to Ruin Her Life and Apply for Art Museum Internships”, today was a pretty successful day. I’ve secured both my recommendation letters from professors, so today’s project was to update my resume and make it seem like I’m qualified for this kind of adult responsibility. Tomorrow will be spent writing a basic letter of intent for the internships that I can tweak for each individual museum.
OH MY GOD these are things that real adults do. That can’t possibly apply to me…
