Letters of Note: I am very real
Letter from Kurt Vonnegut to the head of the Drake school board, who burned 32 copies of “Slaughterhouse Five” (1973) — Do read the whole thing!

Got this on Kindle and I can’t wait to read it! Basic Training is the new novella by Kurt Vonnegut, believed to have been written in the 1940s. It’s only just been found and published, and I’m ridiculously excited to read it.
This will be accomplished while drinking wine and watching “Angels and Demons”, followed by “Moulin Rouge”. Recipe for a perfect evening in.

Bluebeard
This is another one that I love (especially as an art history major).
Thanks for the recommendations, guys!

Oh, god, so many options. My personal favourites besides Breakfast of Champions are The Sirens of Titan and Cat’s Cradle, though there are others that I love. If you’re enjoying Breakfast of Champions then I think you might also enjoy the disjointed timeline of Slaughterhouse Five, or the snarkiness and insanity of Deadeye Dick. There are a lot of options to choose from!
Followers, what do you think?
Kurt Vonnegut reading an excerpt from Breakfast of Champions.
Sometimes I feel incredibly confused when the people laugh, because I find what he writes somewhat funny, but somewhat sad.wow wow wow

Will you review Galapagos when you’re done? It’s one of my favorite vonnegut books, I’d like to hear your thoughts on it.
Sure! I don’t think I’ve ever done a full-fledged review of one of Kurt’s novels, but I’ll give it a shot :)
There is nothing wrong with my life right now. Also, you guys, Galapagos is so good.

GPOY. Answer to everything.
Time for Galapagos and my White Russian (which I may have consumed half of already…). Sorry to anyone who doesn’t want Galapagos spam all over their dashboards. Also, sorry I’m not sorry.
Let it begin!
